HS2 College

Davison Fencing helped deliver the National College for High Speed Rail in Doncaster by integrating early site-setup security fencing into the final scheme, saving time and cost. Opened in 2017, the state-of-the-art college trains engineers for HS2 and the wider rail sector, strengthening Doncaster’s longstanding rail engineering legacy.

Carefully planned with our Client, so that the initial site set-up and installation of security fencing managed to capture much of the final fencing scheme, there were significant cost and time savings. We are proud to have been involved in such an important project.

Located at Doncaster Lakeside, the National College for High Speed Rail opened its doors in September 2017.

Along with the campus at Birmingham, the college will train thousands of much needed engineers to meet the needs of HS2 and the wider rail sector.

The state-of-the-art college offers a real workplace environment to prepare students for work on high-speed rail infrastructure and ensuring rail firms have the skilled employees needed to drive their business forward.

Doncaster is the home of rail and has always led the way in terms of rail engineering. The rich rail heritage, together with an established and significant rail industry, meant Doncaster was an ideal location for the college.
