Temporary Fencing and Site Hoarding

Secure Your Site from Mobilisation to Handover

The safety of the public and the security of your assets are the first priorities on any new construction site. We provide comprehensive temporary works solutions that establish a secure perimeter immediately. Whether you need a high-specification marketing suite hoarding or rapid-deployment mesh for a short-term project, our team ensures your boundary is compliant, robust and professionally installed.

Timber Site Hoarding

Secure. Professional. Brand-Ready.

The moment you break ground, your site becomes a target for theft and a potential hazard to the public. Standard fencing often isn’t enough to mitigate these risks in high-traffic areas.

Our Timber Site Hoarding systems provide a solid, impenetrable barrier between your construction activities and the outside world. Constructed using high-grade timber posts and ply or OSB sheeting, we offer both in-ground (dug-in) solutions for maximum stability and surface-mounted (counterweighted) systems for areas with concrete ground slabs or underground services. We can also incorporate secure vehicle gates and pedestrian digi-lock doors to manage site access control.

Beyond security, timber hoarding transforms your site perimeter into a powerful marketing asset. The smooth, continuous surface is the perfect canvas for corporate branding, project renders and community messaging. A well-finished hoarding signals to the client and the community that this is a professionally managed, high-quality development.

Tree Protection Fencing (BS 5837)

Protecting Nature, Ensuring Compliance.

Planning conditions regarding tree preservation are strict. Failing to protect trees during construction can result in severe fines, work stoppages and enforcement action from local authorities.

We supply and install Tree Protection Fencing (TPF) strictly in accordance with BS 5837:2012. Unlike standard temporary fencing, this system creates a rigid, immovable exclusion zone around the Root Protection Area (RPA). It typically utilises a scaffold framework with welded mesh panels securely clamped to prevent accidental movement by heavy plant machinery.

By installing the correct specification of TPF before heavy works begin, you eliminate the risk of accidental damage to root systems. This ensures a smooth handover with the local authority and demonstrates your commitment to environmental stewardship.

Temporary Mesh & Heras Panels

Rapid Deployment. Flexible Security.

Sometimes you need to secure a perimeter now. Whether for an emergency repair, a short-term holding area, or a shifting site boundary, you need a solution that is fast and cost-effective.

Our temporary mesh panel systems (often referred to as Heras fencing) are the industry standard for rapid site enclosure. We supply heavy-duty anti-climb panels featuring close mesh apertures that prevent footholds. To ensure stability, we utilise high-visibility thermoplastic feet and bracing systems to prevent toppling in wind.

This system offers the ultimate flexibility. As your site evolves and access routes change, the fencing can be easily relocated by your on-site team. It provides a clear visual deterrent and effective boundary without the permanent footprint or cost of timber hoarding.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide wind loading calculations for site hoarding?

Yes. Temporary works design is critical for safety. For solid timber hoardings, we can work with your engineers to ensure the post depths and spacing are calculated to withstand the specific wind loads of your site location, preventing collapse during adverse weather.

Can the hoarding be painted or branded?

Absolutely. We typically install hoarding in standard timber or ply finish, which can then be painted in your corporate colours. The flat surface is ideal for applying vinyl graphics or advertising boards, turning your site perimeter into a marketing asset for the development.

What is the difference between ‘dug-in’ and ‘surface-mounted’ hoarding?

Dug-in involves concreting posts into the ground; this is the most secure method and usually offers better wind resistance. Surface-mounted (or counterweighted) is used where we cannot break ground due to services or concrete surfaces; it uses concrete blocks or water-filled trays to weigh the fence down.

Is your Tree Protection Fencing compliant with planning conditions?

Yes. We install Tree Protection Fencing (TPF) strictly in accordance with BS 5837:2012. This is often a condition of planning permission to ensure construction machinery does not damage the root systems of protected trees.
