Security Rated Systems

Proven Protection for Critical Environments

Where risk tolerance is low and performance standards are critical, our certified security-rated systems provide proven protection. Each system is engineered to meet recognised standards such as LPS 1175 (SR2, SR3, SR4), integrating perimeter defence, controlled access and monitored entry to create a fully coordinated security solution.

Designed to resist forced entry and targeted attacks, these systems deliver consistent, tested performance in the most demanding environments. Ideal for utilities, data centres and blue-light facilities, our high-security solutions are specified to withstand credible threats, offering assured compliance and lasting peace of mind.

LPS 1175 Certified Fencing

Defending Against Targeted Attacks

For high-risk sites, a standard boundary is simply a delay of seconds. Our LPS 1175 certified systems change the equation, providing a guaranteed delay time against dedicated attackers using specific toolsets. Whether you require SR2 (resistance to bolt cutters and claw hammers) or SR3 and SR4 (resistance to battery-powered cutting tools), we supply systems that have been physically tested and rated by the LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board).

This is not just about thicker wire; it is about the entire assembly. These systems feature reinforced posts, specialist clamp bars and tamper-proof fixings that work in unison to maintain structural integrity under extreme stress.

Does your project require an SR rating? Send us your security spec for a compliant proposal.

Integrated Perimeters (Toppings and Detection)

Beyond the Fence Line

A high-security fence is most effective when it acts as a platform for detection and deterrence. We design “layered” defence systems that integrate the physical barrier with active security measures.

  • Hostile Toppings: We install concerted razor wire coils, rotating spikes and electric pulse fencing to provide a formidable physical and psychological deterrent.
  • PIDs (Perimeter Intrusion Detection): Our rated fencing systems are compatible with vibration and acoustic cable detection systems. Because the fence panels are rigid and taut, they provide a stable platform for sensors, reducing false alarms while ensuring immediate notification of any cutting or climbing attempts.

Upgrade your perimeter defence. Ask us about integrated security toppings.

Certified Gates and Access Control

Securing the Weakest Link

A secure perimeter is compromised if the entry point is vulnerable. We supply automated and manual gates that match the security rating of the fence line. From cantilever sliding gates to bi-folding speed gates, our access solutions are tested to the same LPS 1175 standards as the fencing.

These gates feature heavy-duty drive mechanisms and anti-force geometry to prevent them from being pried open or rammed. Fully integrated with your access control software, they ensure that your site remains secure even during shift changes and heavy traffic flow.

Don’t compromise at the gate. Contact us for rated access control solutions.

Construction Manager, Willmott Dixon Logo

Davison Fencing were incredibly and easy to work with from start to finish. Their communication was clear, the process was smooth, and the quality of their workmanship is outstanding. I’m extremely pleased with the final result and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high quality fencing contractor.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does LPS 1175 actually measure?

LPS 1175 measures the time it takes to create an opening large enough for a person to pass through, using a specific set of tools. The ratings (e.g., B3, C5) indicate the tool category and the delay time in minutes. It is the gold standard for UK insurance and infrastructure compliance.

What is the difference between the old ‘SR’ ratings and the new ratings?

The standard was updated (Issue 8).

  • SR1 is roughly equivalent to A1 (1 minute, hand tools).
  • SR2 is roughly equivalent to B3 (3 minutes, mechanical tools).
  • SR3 is roughly equivalent to C5 (5 minutes, powered tools). We can supply systems certified to either terminology depending on your specification.
Do you work with NPSA (CPNI) approved products?

Yes. For government and CNI (Critical National Infrastructure) projects, we can supply and install fencing systems that are listed in the NPSA (formerly CPNI) Catalogue of Security Equipment (CSE).

Can you retrofit security toppings to existing fences?

In many cases, yes. Provided the existing posts have sufficient structural strength, we can retro-fit extension arms to carry razor wire or electric fencing, upgrading the security level of your current perimeter.
