Construction of the new 1,700 Sq.m. store, said to be creating around 40 jobs, commenced this summer following the signing of a contract with Canal Road Urban Village Ltd which is spearheading the area’s development.

CRUVL is a joint venture company established by developers Urbo Regeneration and Bradford Council to grow a sustainable residential neighbourhood.

This phase of the development, located between Stanley Road and Canal Road, will also see the construction of a further 930 sq.m. retail unit developed next to Aldi which is currently being marketed by commercial agents Lamb & Swift.

Aldi is the second major retail occupier to be announced for the New Bolton Woods project, following Costa Coffee signing up last year for a new drive-through unit on the scheme.

Construction of the Costa building was completed earlier in the year with Davison Fencing completing the fencing works.
